Our Why

Why do we travel? There are countless reasons – some of us seek a temporary escape from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, while others desire to find balance and reconnect with what’s truly important. But for our family of four (plus the husky), travel is more than just a break from the norm. It’s a way for us to draw closer to one another and rediscover our faith in Christ.

We believe that life is precious and tomorrow is never guaranteed. That’s why we’ve made a conscious choice to seize the moment and explore the world around us, even while we’re still in our prime. Whether we’re scaling a mountain or challenging ourselves in other ways, we believe that the physical and mental training we gain from our travels can ultimately help us grow in spirituality.

After all, Jesus himself was a traveler during his ministry on Earth – and we feel called to follow in his footsteps or at least make an effort. We recognize that this world is not our true home and that our restlessness stems from a deeper longing for something more. That’s why we’re determined to make the most of our time here and experience all the beauty and diversity that this world has to offer.

But our travels are about more than just our personal growth. As parents, we want to share the wonder and richness of history and culture with our children. We want them to experience firsthand the joys and challenges of life in different corners of the world. By exposing them to new perspectives and ways of life, we hope to nurture in them a deep sense of love, acceptance, and compassion that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

In short, our travels are a reflection of who we are and what we believe. They remind us of our place in the world and help us grow in faith, strength, and understanding. We feel truly blessed to be able to explore this beautiful planet with our family, and we can’t wait to see where our journey takes us next!
