Journeybound Hot Take Boston is undoubtedly a bustling city. However, amidst the hustle and bustle, we had an absolute blast exploring the various eateries and bookshops as we leisurely traversed the Freedom Trail. The emotions that stirred within us as we gazed upon the dwelling of Paul Revere and stood at the very location of the infamous Boston Massacre are difficult to put into words. Visiting this city is to immerse yourself in the remarkable history that has shaped our nation

Journeybound Hot Take Although the Salem Witch Trials represent a dark and troubling period in history, we found that there was so much to discover and enjoy in this charming town. We had the opportunity to explore the Friendship of Salem, snap some photos of the iconic House of the Seven Gables, and indulge our children's fascination with the Wynott Wands store. Our son even got himself a wand inspired by "Harry Potter," while our daughter delighted in acquiring a cute Hedwig. Salem may have a haunting past, but it offers a wealth of attractions for all to enjoy.

Journeybound Hot Take Although our visit to the Springfield Armory occurred during COVID restrictions, we still had an incredible experience exploring the grounds and interacting with the friendly staff. While we were not able to venture inside the building, we were amazed by the thought of their extensive collection on display, which is renowned for preserving the largest historic U.S. military small firing arms. The site also has impressive grounds to explore, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We plans to return and explore the interior of the building and get a deeper insight into the rich history that the Armory represents.

Journeybound Hot Take The experience of visiting this site is harrowing. The audio CD that accompanies the driving tour is an invaluable resource that enables you to gain a vivid understanding of what life was like in 1863. We were moved by the sight of Little Round Top and the reconstructed fences that would have been present during the war, and we couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the brave men who fought for freedom then and continue to do so now.

Journeybound Hot Take Nestled in a charming little town surrounded by rolling hills, this park is a delightful hidden gem. Once the boyhood home of George Perkins Marsh, the park was later owned by Frederick Billings before being gifted to the current owners, the Rockefeller family. One of the highlights of the park is its working dairy farm, which was a pleasant surprise for kids and adults alike. Another highlight are the stunningly beautiful gardens and buildings surrounding the mansion, which are sure to impress anyone who visits.
